1. Add your Reflex Arena server
Install Synix for Windows and open Add Server. Select Reflex Arena, choose a unique server name and select the folder where its game-server files will live. The Synix app installation folder is separate from your game-server folder.
Synix uses SteamCMD to download this profile (AppID 329740). This profile uses anonymous Steam downloads.
If this server already exists on disk, use Import Existing Server to keep its world and configuration.
2. Configure and install
Set the player limit, passwords and world or map options offered by this profile. Choose ports that do not conflict with another server on the same computer. Use Review to inspect your choices, then save and let the installation finish.
The profile points to dedicatedserver.cfg. Open it with Synix’s Configuration Editor for additional settings. Paths are relative to the server folder unless shown as an absolute path. Placeholders such as {Identity} depend on your server settings.
Stop the server before making changes that require a restart.
3. Start and check readiness
Open Readiness, resolve missing requirements, then choose Start. Synix expects the server program reflexded.exe. Allow time for the first world to generate. Read Activity & Diagnostics and the game’s own log if startup stops or reports an error.
A running process alone does not prove players can join. Test from a game client and check that the client and server use compatible versions.
4. Connect your players
Use the game’s multiplayer browser or direct connection option. For games that support direct LAN connections, use the server computer’s LAN address from another computer in your home. Internet players need the connection method supported by the game, such as a public address, join code or server listing.
The profile stores game port 25787 and query/probe port 25797. These are template values, not a complete firewall rule list; game-specific notes above take precedence. Match any router forwarding to the server computer and the game’s required TCP or UDP ports. Read the networking guide if local access works but internet access does not.
5. Protect your world
After the first successful join, create a backup. Include the actual world/save location when the game stores it outside the installation folder. Back up again before updates or mod changes. Keep a working restore point and check the backup result before removing old files.
If something does not work
Check the selected game edition or Steam branch, installation result, configuration file and the game log. Use Readiness and first-start help or Troubleshooting for the next step.
