Synix can send selected server lifecycle and maintenance events to Discord through webhooks. This is a notification feature, not a Discord bot for remotely controlling Synix.
Set up notifications
- Create or obtain a webhook for a Discord channel you are authorized to manage.
- Open the server's Configure → Discord page.
- Add the webhook destination and review the available event-routing options.
- Save the configuration.
- Use a test action if offered, or confirm delivery during a planned server event.
Examples include startup, shutdown, recovery, backup, and maintenance notifications. Which messages arrive depends on the routes/events you enable and whether that operation actually occurred.
Keep webhook URLs private
A webhook URL contains a posting credential. Anyone who obtains it may be able to send messages to its channel.
- Do not paste it into public issues, screenshots, exported launch files, or chat.
- Synix protects its saved webhook values for the current Windows user.
- If a URL is exposed, rotate/delete it in Discord and update the saved destination in Synix.
- Review server names and event details that will be sent to a shared channel.
This is an outbound connection from the PC to Discord. It does not require exposing an inbound control port on your router.
When messages do not arrive
Check that the route is enabled for the selected event, the URL is still valid, the channel/webhook has not been deleted, and the PC can reach Discord.
Inspect Synix's relevant error information without publishing the full URL. Repeatedly testing a broken webhook will not fix access or network problems.
